Our Story
Nestled in main street Sorrento with a limestone façade and old-fashioned charm, the Vanilla Slice Café looks like it’s straight out of the Edwardian era. But the vanilla slice? It’s completely out of this world. One taste and you’ll think your grandma was behind the counter (well, if your grandma made a completely kickass vanilla slice).
Do the words “freshly baked” give you goose bumps? Is a meal just not a meal without sweets at the end? Do you take a trip down the Mornington Peninsula just to pick up a secret vanilla slice on the weekend?
Our large and ever evolving cake and slice selection is enough to make your mouth water in anticipation. Although we could just eat our perfect Vanilla Slice all day, our display cabinets show how much we love lots of variety.
Our seasonal menu celebrates the best of local and sustainable produce and focuses on creating dishes that celebrate each ingredient to create tasty, clean and simple food that the whole family can enjoy.
